Navi Genie GT-31 GPS
As used by all the pro's and the only official unit of the world GPS speedsailing organisation
The Genie (GT-31) provides a feature rich, easy to use, yet comprehensive GPS unit. You can view all the relevant information about your trip: average speed; top speed; distance covered (on the current trip); overall distance covered; and trip time. You can set warnings; if you exceed a certain speed, or approach a certain point, a buzzer will sound.
You can see what heading you are on; what the bearing is (of a point you selected); departure time; arrival time; time and distance to the next point of your trip; etc. Various grid references are supports, including OSGB Grid reference format, specifically for the UK.
The Genie is very light in weight, waterproof, and floats. Its battery will last for ages - up to 46 hours with the backlight off! It's very affordable and packed with all the features of a much more expensive GPS unit.
The built in memory can store 20000 track points . The GT-31 can record up to 2GB of tracks on a SD memory card.
The GT-31 can be connected to a computer via the USB port. Data (tracks, waypoints etc.) can be uploaded to the computer from the GPS or from the GPS to the computer. The other version of the Genie, the BGT-31, has Bluetooth, which is a very convenient way of connecting a GPS to a PC or PDA, and using the GT-31 as the GPS input.
Charging of the battery can be done via the supplied mains power supply, optional car charger, or the USB port of the computer.
Remember we set your GPS before it leaves us and provide you all the info you need to set yourself up for the GPS challange.
